Rebecca Margolis, D.O., FAOCA
Dr. Rebecca Margolis practices Pediatric Anesthesiology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she is an associate professor of clinical anesthesia and the inaugural Director of Well-Being in the Department of Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine. She is the Founder and Co-Chair of the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia’s Committee for Physician Well-Being and serves as the Vice-Chair of the American Society of Anesthesia Committee on Physician Well-Being. Rebecca’s research focuses on enabling systems-based approaches to make healthcare a more sustainable career choice. Additionally, she serves as an American Board of Anesthesiology Oral Board Examiner (so any recommendations for Raleigh restaurants are appreciated!). Rebecca finds her greatest professional satisfaction in the relationships she has developed through the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia and the well-being community. When she’s not masking children or struggling to write a book chapter, she can be found trying to visit all the US National Parks with her son Dexter and husband Ben.
Dr. Norah Janosy is an Associate Professor in the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology at the University of Colorado and Children’s Hospital Colorado. She is deeply committed to advancing physician well-being as the founder and co-chair of the Well-being Committee for the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia (SPA). Through her work with SPA, she has cultivated meaningful connections with pediatric anesthesiologists nationwide, which she considers one of the most rewarding aspects of her career.
Clinically, Dr. Janosy specializes in caring for children with complex airway diseases, including aerodigestive disorders and epidermolysis bullosa (EB). She thrives in a multidisciplinary team environment, delivering comprehensive perioperative care to children. Recently, she has taken on the role of Medical Director of Sedation.
Outside of her professional life, Norah has discovered a new passion for mahjong, finding it both intellectually stimulating and a great way to connect with others. She hopes to carve out time for a game at the next SPA meeting! Norah also cherishes spending time with her husband and two children, particularly enjoying the beauty and adventure of the Colorado mountains.
